Pre-Paid Maintenance Plans

My 2nd lease is about to end and I’m looking towards my third. So far, I’ve only leased Toyotas. I really like that I have 2 years free maintenance, and the knowledge that other than my monthly payment, I have no other costs to consider.

It looks like Chevy has a similar set up, which looks like it will work well for a 24 month lease.

Are there any other manufacturers that do something similar? I’m finding it difficult to research.

I’m in the market for a small to mid-size SUV, 24m/12k.

My only experiences have been with BMW and Jaguar. BMW recently cut their maintenance program from 4 year/50,000 miles to 3 year/36,000 miles. Jaguar offers 5 year/60,000 miles.

Genesis and Volvo also include a 3 year maint program

Good to know. Thanks!

Anyone Know anything about Hyundai or Buick? Seems like you have to purchase a plan but no pricing anywhere. Hmm.

Buick includes two free visits. A quick Google search would have showed that.

You’re right. Was researching Hyundai of late. My bad.

Thanks though.

If you are driving ~12k/year all you should need for the first two years is 2 or 3 oil changes - Nothing else. Therefore I wouldn’t pay more than the cost of those 2-3 oil changes at most for your maintenance plan.

Unless it’s an Audi. At 35k there’s a DSG fluid change. The prepaid maintenance increases residual by 1% and with it costing around $1k, the discounted cost is around $500 which is the cost of that service alone at any dealer or even an independent shop (just the special oil and filter is around $200-300ish without labor).
