Pre Owned Leasing - Any Options?

Many years ago when I was in management in the dealership world I discovered the significant benefits of pre-owned leasing. The very best option was a twelve month deal. In this case when looking at a pre-owned vehicle’s value if it was close to the twelve month residual the payment was next to nothing because there was very little depreciation in the payment and basically only paying the rent charge and taxes. Eventually the twelve month option went away and the banks and the captives began to no longer offer pre-owned leasing. I have noticed of late the Acura Pre Owned Certified site now gives the option of displaying Cash - Finance - Lease. Here is a link to their site https://www.acuracertified.com/pre-owned-leasing.

Is anyone aware of another source like a bank or other captive that offers the same?

Porsche does it

The trouble is that a used car lease almost always has a substantially higher payment than a new one. There are no incentives or subvented rates out there. As someone mentioned earlier, the only time I’ve seen it work is for the occasional Porsche, typically a 911 with the right options.

I think Audi was also doing it last year (“nearly new” lease), but I don’t know if it’s still an option currently.
