Porsche Taycan is outselling 911 so far in 2021

“Porsche sold 28,640 Taycans worldwide during the first nine months of 2021, the company said Friday. It delivered 27,972 911s over that period. The Taycan is also outpacing the 911 in the US, selling 1,861 units compared with the 911’s 1,621.”

Anyone drove both cars? I read a C&D article and they say unlike 911 there is no point to get the higher trims on the Taycan, the handling is pretty much the same beside being faster.

I think they’re all near me, I see so many Taycans around Del Mar and Newport…

there’s a difference bw the 4s and turbo s, but it’s not what i would pay an extra 70k for…the 4s is more than enough at 130k

Most P-car dealers now have 1.5-2 year wait for 911 allocations. I am not talking about GT models, that is the base models. If they could build them they would sell them. There was Taycan supply built up at dealers going into 2021.

Yep. I don’t know what the Taycan vs 911 sales figures actually tell us beyond supply constraints considering it’s hard to get either one, especially at sticker.
