While that may be true, there is no need to pay the price of even the lower-priced Porsche dealership. For something as basic as an oil change and brake fluid on a Macan.
Find an Indy. Support a local business. Save some money.

This post pretty much tells me that I need not look into a Cayenne or Levante for my best car. Iâll stick to my BMWs.
get the oil changed somewhere next time for $100 and do nothing else (it doesnt need its brake fluid changed) âŚunless something wears out (wiper blades etc)
totally agree.
Truth. Unless youâre tracking it 3yrs/60k is a safe brake fluid change interval. Literally none of that needed to be done.
Regular maintenance includes BG44k fuel system cleaner? While I love me some BG44k, thatâs what Iâd put in the car the tank of gas BEFORE the oil change, not right after.
As others have said, please locate an independent Porsche mechanic. Youâd have paid probably 60% of the total or less.
They also sprayed your A/C evaporator to keep smells out (Frigifresh) which is fine. Lots of Wichita, KS finest product went into or on your German panzer. Good stuff, but probably additional profit for the dealership service department more than VAG recommended.
Here is an alternative to save some cashâŚ
Honestly this is what happens when you go in and say something marketing-oriented like a bi-annual service or âservice Bâ in Mercedes parlance.
Donât forget $33 for two of those dime-sized CR2032 key fob batteries
Literally everything after the oil change falls into âwas it really requiredâ territory
TLDR: know what you need and ask for only those specific items.
seems like you couldve had that stuff done at jiffy lube for 200 bucks (wouldnât even need a coupon)
Well, I woke up this morning and I got myself a beer.
âWeâre a family owned dealership and simply canât do that deal, what can we do to earn your businessâ
The cost of servicing the vehicle does depend on the trim level - maintenance on a Base is less than maintenance on a Turbo. Year 1 service should have been included and free of charge. I paid $553.67 for year 2 service on a 2018 Base in January 2021. I live in Orange County, CA. Dealer estimates, at the time, ranged from $1100 - $1700. Found a great independent mechanic and saved some money. Find a Porsche Repair Shop or Mechanic You Can Trust The Macan Forum is also an excellent resource.
