Porsches don’t lease well. If you are fixed on it, you will pay greatly compared to an X5 or another similarly sized SUV

I don’t know the pricing trends on cayennes but they’re giving you a 1k discount on a 90k car. Something tells me they have no issues moving these things.

How does one go from a BMW i3 to a Porsche Cayenne?

$48,000 to drive a Cayenne for three years is insane.

Something tells me they are hoping you have too much money to care about discounts. The Cayenne is relatively stale as a model and I would be surprised if it is a hot seller…

It’s a Cayenne Hybrid, so he is still doing the green thing …

That’s the total cost to purchase a 5 year old Cayenne and three years of maintenance and repairs. Crazy.

Cayennes were porsche’s number one seller before the Macan came around. In fact, I’m positive the cayenne saved Porsche from bankruptcy.

Ah. Kalifornia logik. My Michigan brain cannot comprehend such matters. I’ll dump some of my used motor oil onto the pile of brush and downed tree limbs in my backyard and make a nice big smoky bonfire to offset this lunacy.

FYI, I know we are the hybrid/ev capital of the US, but most of the people I know here with those types of vehicles ( my wife included) don’t give 2 cents about the environment.

Their reasoning? Just hate lining up at gas stations

A nice bonus check, successful bank robbery, working on Wall Street, his name is Jeff Bezos… really a number of ways.

Yes, but he’s leasing from a Porsche Brand Ambassador! That’s got to get you something. Maybe a cup o Jo as you’re waiting on your $300 oil change.

Seriously, the Cayenne is an awesome vehicle, but it’s replacement is slated for next year, and paying that much for an outgoing model is a little loco.

I currently lease a cayenne E-hybrid. i am $1095/ month on a 15K/36M lease. Granted i got it 2 years ago so programs might have changed. But as Ross pointed out, the new cayenne is around the corner and you can do a lot better than this. ( Assume at least 20-25%) better payment if you wait 3 more months. They are great cars, but don’t lease well and end of the day “porsche” and “deals” dont go together.

Side note,

I found some random article once that put Porsche as one of the highest rated brands for reliability. I’m not sure, but I feel like thats hogwash…

If its even an average reliable vehicle surely with that payment you can go lightly CPO?

For 48k can’t you buy a certified Macan?

Found this online last night
Seemed like a ton of good lease research on EV/Hybrid pricing at Dealerships. And no I’m not an environmental crazy. I simply like to charge at home and use my carpool lane here in So Cal.

Porsches consistently rank high on reliability surveys for both new cars and 3 year ownership periods (JD power). However, I think they count all owner reported problems, minor and major. Also, since this is an owner survey, I’m not sure how reliable they are.

One scary thing about those cars, if something goes catastrophically wrong, it’s going to cost waaaaay more than a Toyota to fix.

Dealer changed terms?

Good afternoon Don,

I not sure my e-mail came across correctly. The discount we are offering is $6,370 off MSRP and then you have an additional rebate
of $5,336 that goes toward your drive offs and down payment.

Sounds like smoke and mirrors dealmaking to me.
