This is Polestars current offer. I was drawn in by $399/mo - but that has preconditions I can’t meet. The offer- What do you think? *Monthly lease payment of $499 per month for 39 months is based on new 2026 Polestar 4 Long range Dual motor with an adjusted capitalized cost of $45,295 (MSRP of $64,300 including destination and delivery fee of $1,400, plus acquisition fee of $995, less $1,000 capitalized cost reduction, and $19,000 Polestar Clean Vehicle Non-cash Incentive). Actual MSRP may vary and could affect your monthly lease payment. Cash due at signing includes $1,000 down payment, $499 first month’s payment and $0 security deposit. Tax, title, license, registration and dealer fees are additional fees due at signing. Lessee is responsible for excess wear and mileage over 7,500 miles/year at $0.25/mile. Incentive not valid on previous leases and has no cash value.

Call me crazy, but I’m not sure that signing a 39 month commitment to a company who is actively in the process of abandoning the US market is the way to go here.
These official manufacturer “offers” are the lease equivalent of an MSRP.
They’re manufacturer-suggested prices that exclude taxes and fees. Some dealers might not honor the required discount (i.e., “dealer contribution”) to make it happen, while others can beat it significantly.
The best approach is to create an aggressive but realistic target deal to shoot for, reflecting the incentives you qualify for, your local tax rate, actual MSRP of available inventory, etc. Also check the forum Marketplace for actual deals that reflect in-stock units.
You do realize it’s just a volvo. They won’t be going anywhere for a long time. Sure it won’t say Polestar at the dealership but they will always take care of their customers. +
