Polestar 4 lease

Did anyone take advantage of the PND (pre negotiated deals) for Polestar 4 LRDM pilot + plus? Manager at a polestar dealership saying it doesn’t exist and looking for a sheet to match.

I’d wager that even if you provided a sheet, they would say you should take the deal….

More trying to prove they did/do exist because this is a huge dealer and it’s their sales manager / space manager who never heard of these.

Which dealer in NJ? Shoot me a DM if you don’t want to share publicly.

They need to decide if they want to sell a car or not, they have no need to “see the deal sheet” from another dealer. In most of these cases as already mentioned they just choose to not match.

It’s a tactic to get you more emotionally invested to what I presume is the closest dealer to your house in the hopes that while they won’t match it, your emotionally invested to cough up another $1000-$1500 to get the deal done at the aforementioned closest dealer.

With 100s more P4 en route (see discussion in “off topic”), I wouldn’t be in any rush to sign for a P4. Deals will improve.

To be clear, you want someone who did pay the fee for the PND to post their contract so you can try to get a dealer to match that instead of just paying the fee for the deal?

Or am I misunderstanding?

Dealer does not believe that deal exists.

Agree I will be waiting into August now no matter what. I can also extend my P2 into September as well. I’m in no rush.

Oh, I see, you just want to try to help a dealer believe that a deal is possible, you’re not actually trying to buy a car from them, got it.

The dealer knows the deal may be possible, he is just calling you a liar.

No. I would lease the car, just not from them after being called a liar

Which is why I won’t buy from them now

The current Pre Negotiated Deal shows as “Sold Out” and “0 Remaining” in the PND section on LH.

Ah, fair enough then!

I understand that but the dealer is saying it’s fake and doesn’t exist and I could screen shot anything so was hoping to provide an actual sheet to say F U

So I used to be like you, proving a point but I found out that this approach doesn’t help when it comes to networking or working deals. I’d say just move on, thank them for their time and say if anything changes let me know. Having that open may give you opportunities in the future rather than burning bridges and being noted in their CRM.

Don’t take it personally, you will have plenty of sales people try to tell you your numbers or wrong, balk at what you’re asking for or just say “sounds like a great deal, you should go buy it from the other guy” etc.

On the flip side, I would suggest not just taking an advertised deal to a dealer and expect them to match or beat it. Do you understand the numbers that made that deal work? Do you qualify for the same rebates? Is the tax structure the same etc? You’re better off using a PND deal for the data points to understand how you build your own deal and then go negotiate.

Yep never get personal on these things. I was so pissed at a dealer that I said I will never shop there. Two years later I got the best deal from them.

I once had a dealer tell me he would personally pay me $50 if I could show him a contract for a deal I was referencing.

Weird that he ghosted me after I sent it to him
