Not too excited about long-base S90, T5, no loyalty with pull ahead and a non-loaner is still over $400/mo all in.
I hear you- I liked the shorty better as well. Even still, payment isnât bad for what you get. V90 would be nice if incentives increased. Loyalty is only $500, anyway.
Do you have A-Plan, or does your company have enough employees to apply?
I can probably do the same without the a-plan on S90/V90 as with $3K a-plan. And definitely can do better on anything else. There are few '18s left, anyway. Will just see what happens in December. Maybe Volvo decides to allow below invoice a-plan again.
arenât they pulling the short s90s from EU because of tariffs?
There is no short S90. 2017 was the one. V90s still are. Or they are making the short version for EU? Then why would they be affected by our tariffs?
IMHO, the 2017 s90 was a much better proportioned vehicle than the 2018+. Part of me wishes I could have found a deal on one, but lease support ended too soon for me.
Meaning volvo is bringing EU s90s over instead of Chinese made s90s to avoid tariffs in the US. Theyâll send s90s from China to other markets.
I see. Are they making the short version in EU?
Found these international dimensions:
https://www.volvocars.com/intl/cars/new-models/s90/specifications/dimensions
Length of 4963mm = 195.4" (which is length of US 2017 S90)
yeah, I was wrong about the short s90s, just checked the wheelbase, but from what I heard at dealers they were going to start taking EU made cars into the US and send China s90s elsewhere.
Cool, did you check 2019 US specs? Would be nice, but I donât think they make enough of them in EU.
2019 US is same as 2018.

Only XC60s to the US will shift production from China to Europe. S90 production will be cut way down and continue to come from China.
Volvo feels the LWB S90 matches the competition better.
Which means no more $300/mo S90 T6
I donât think so. That was one of those cheapdad opportunities.
Not just his. Deals where available until April. There was extra $2K loyalty in Mid-Atlantic on S90/V90 in April, combined with relatively high RVs, allowances, 11-12% off and a-plan below invoice w/$3K.
It was a rare and unique opportunity. I used cheapdad as a descriptor as he tends to gravitate towards deals like that. An inside reference- not just a deal cheapdad got.
Cheapdad in context of a cheap dad. Got it lol
Yeah, so it looks like weâre in the same boat. I wanted to stay with Volvo because I really liked the car, and now itâs all up in the air. I just need to keep it around $400. I think they are really screwing a lot of people who would otherwise be loyal customers by upping the cost of the same car with the same equipment and options by nearly $10,000 to MAYBE sway people from German cars. Thatâs a bad and stupid business decision.
@ap919 - if your lease ends 10/1, then your final payment is due 9/1, right? That means youâll have 9 payments remaining after you make your 12/1/2018 payment and youâll be paid up until 1/1/2019. So, the earliest pull ahead opportunity is next month. Since Volvo plans to build a ton of S60s in South Carolina, my suggestion would be to lie in wait starting next year and see what Volvo offers. Hopefully the offers will come soon, due to their production capability. A-Plan would probably only be $750 once it becomes available on a 2019 S60, so going outside A-Plan will probably get you a better payment. When a dealer can order as many S60s as he can eat, heâll be willing to dig deep. Time will bring the incentives. You could order one, but you probably wonât know how good the incentive get until the month the car arrives. If the programs are good in March (for example), you should be able to order one and lock in the incentives with offer protection.
Iâm curious on what youâre seeing $10,000 price increases (or is it $8,000)? Is it MSRP to MSRP? Whatâs an example? Maybe youâre right- Iâd like to see an example.
