I could do that. Only problem is that I probably drive 1500 to 2000 miles per month. Thats why I was not considering a lease.

Lease two EVs.

These things take a bath even with normal miles. You’ll be crying after putting on all those miles.

I wouldn’t pay MSRP for one of these.

Have you shopped around?

Has this car been punched or is it a dealer courtesy car? If it’s a courtesy car you can lease it. You also need the Costco rebate and ideally supplier to maximize rebates before you get into the discount stuff.

Most folks don’t have supplier, so Costco might be OP’s best bet.

@ElmoHongZito - A couple of questions:

  1. Do you need a car now?
  2. Why this car?
  3. Do you have a Costco membership?

If you get an EV, have you factored in charging and charging time? The range is up to 315 miles.

No problem. High mileage lease - #4 by chevysalesgirl

Just saw a used 2023 first edition 3x for 70 today with like 20k miles. Lease it as everyone said. Buy more miles if you need to

I don’t need it right now. I have a 2022 Tesla Model Y (financed) and I owe about $7500 more on it than I can trade it in for.

I want the Hummer simply because i want a larger EV and I am not crazy about the cybertruck.

I unfortunately do not have a Costco membership. I have not snipped around but i am starting to.

pay for the miles
or
lease another cheap ev

youre going to take a bath on resale if you purchase this

Get Costco and start tracking data points on the larger EVs

Cadillac Vistiq just came out and prices should improve after early adopters are done.

Ford Lightning: programs got worse this month in anticipation of tariffs but how long can Ford sustain lower volume at higher prices?

Silverado/Sierra: track those too

I don’t have Costco membership.

This is the lease numbers on this same one from the same dealership.

1249 tax in $3359 out of pocket.
36 months
15k miles per year

How does the deal break down? You mentioned the $5500 in rebates…plus what kind of dealer discount?

Objectively, without the details, I would personally not feel good about that payment when others were able to lease loaner Hummers for $700ish a month. If you really want this car I would suggest you at least sign up for Costco and get the executive membership for the extra cash on this car and wait until next month. GM is also relaunching their credit card in May and there may be some nice sign up bonus perks you can take advantage of.

Yeah I guess I can wait. I’m not in a super rush although my basic limited warranty on my current tesla model y is about to end. I’m at 49k miles.
So I would most likely need to extend warranty ($2000) or get something quick.

I will send you a Central FL dealer. Ask him if he can beat this.

Is your Tesla a part of this deal? Like a trade in?

No. I asked chat gpt lol and decided that it was not a sound financial decision to roll my trade in (which has about $7500 of negative equity) into the lease. I guess I’ll just sell to carvana or carmax and pay off the difference. Hopefully thats not a painful process like it is with some other car manufactures.
