Does it sound exciting to you?

Nah, Outback did not get me excited, but the deal looks very good

Great thanks for the feedback @Ursus

which dealer?

I swear if its norcal u guys have all the best deals

Looks good to me…I was pricing these last month, but ended up with a Forester. FWIW, I also have a 2017 Outback…Forester is a much better car, IMHO, though it leases for slightly more even with a cheaper msrp.

why do you say Forester is better compared to Outback?

outback is better, definitely good deal

Which dealer/region?

PM’ed you.

Looks solid!

Steering and handling are awful in the Outback. Forester is more nimble. Huge windows are wonderful. Seats more comfortable. Sound system seems better, but maybe because its a 19 vs 17

My old Q5 was better than both, but nearly twice as expensive.

I live in the canyons of Los Angeles, and drive twisty and hilly roads all day long. Oh, forgot…took it on a road trip to Santa Cruz last summer. Going over 75 did not inspire confidence. Did get excellent mileage though.

Consumer Reports gave the new Forester an 89…only two vehicles get better ratings. Though one is an Avalon Hybrid…so that sorta makes me wonder

Looking for a similar deal for a friend!
Can you PM the dealership?

Thanks!!

yes could you please give info which dealer/salesperson you used?

I’m in LA as well

Pacific Subaru…but Glendale is OK too. Santa Monica wasn’t terrible either.

Thank you. For me, Forrester feels like driving on a truck chassis. I sort of want to have a vehicle planted to ground more so I can enjoy curves more.

Plus the Forester is even uglier, you can’t put a price on ugly

Did you drive the 2019 Forester which is a complete redesign.

As I said, I have both…live in the Canyons of LA and the Outback handles terribly.

Not sure how it can feel like a truck since it is built on Impreza chassis, if it is not 2019. Also boxer engine gives it lower center of gravity.

I don’t know anything about the driving dynamics of the two cars, but the 3.6L engine is a flat-6, so it’s also a boxer, no?

Yes, also Boxer
