Vehicle condition (accidents, tire wear, etc.), options, and other details:

Basically brand new, only at 157 miles, still on original charge. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this car, it is incredible. The color is amazing, it’s a very dark red/maroon, and has been a blast to drive during the limited time I’ve spent in it. Acceleration is ridiculous (536 HP), ride is sublime. Has almost all of the packages/options I think, just not the High Performance Tires or Carbon Exterior.

But, the long and short story is I made a mistake, an emotional decision, and rushed into purchasing something we don’t need. It has… not gone over well at home and has just caused anxiety and stress. I’m resigned to eating the down payment (and then some) and giving up the car, and a lease transfer seems like the only viable option.

Happy to answer any questions or provide any more details on the car, or any additional photos. Posted on swapalease.com as well.

Thanks
Adam

added incentive to offset the lease transfer fee. No down payment.

bumped up incentive.

At least I was able to drive it a little today, otherwise it’s mostly just sitting in the garage.

Beautiful color! GL with everything.

Unfortunately I live on the West Coast otherwise I’d be all over this.

came within 3 hours of transferring this to a LH user, missed connection :frowning:

@lae fwiw, quick quote on cross country shipping from here to Beverly Hills (the only CA zip code I could think of), for example, was $1630 (Car Shipping Calculator: No Personal Info - Takes 1 Min!)

bumping incentive up to get payment under $700 and hopefully get this moving soon.

Sorry you are in this predicament but I may be interested. I will know more next week, but first I have a couple questions since I have never done a lease transfer before.

What all fees are required? I assume I don’t have to pay anything other than first month payment and the transfer fee? Are there any other fees/taxes required upfront? I am in Tucson Arizona, can you check shipping costs to zip 85629?

This might be worth it to me since Any similar car will be 3k DAS plus broker fee.

Hi, where are you located? I. Interested in this. My lease was up yesterday, I’m not sure how this works though.

Now Pending Transfer (past the credit approval stage)…

A few things I learned that may be helpful to other lease transferors, BMW requires the paper title to be in their hands from the RMV before even starting the process, in my case that only happened yesterday, a good 6 weeks after taking delivery. Shouldn’t be an issue for most unless they’re brand new leases like mine.

Also, since I’m in a state that collects property (excise) tax, and they haven’t received that bill yet from the state, they need to bill me for an estimated amount for the rest of the year, which I will need to pay before the transfer can be completed. Then once the transfer is complete I can get the “unused” months reimbursed.

BMW also required the transfer fee to be paid up front by me before emailing the application to the transferee. Depending on which rep I spoke with, the first said flat out I had to pay it because if the approval failed they weren’t allowed to reimburse third parties. A second rep said there was a way to bill the transferee I think, but it was quicker and easier for me to just pay that immediately and work it out with the other party later.

Application approval was super quick, less than 20 minutes. BMWFS phone support was great, multiple calls and each person was eager to help and knowledgeable, much better than some outsourced call center.
