RAV4s?? They have the leather like seats right??
Open a penfed. Apply for used car loan. Look for camry 2018+. Build your credit history while paying off the car. Come back here when it’s paid off and you want to lease a new car. FWD is fine in pittsburgh & sedan is cheaper to insure than suv.
Which trim do you need to get for all those requirements? You’ll be pushing over $40k MSRP and it won’t lease for anywhere near $250/mo.
So at the max, you’re willing to spend $250/mo ALL IN for what will at the very least need to be an extremely large sedan, if not an SUV, that has premium features like adaptive cruise, 360 cameras, leather, heated seats and steering wheel, blind spot, and more.
Aside from approval for a lease being unlikely with 0 credit history, this ask would be unreasonable even if you had a perfect score and great history.
You are going to need to either up your budget big time or buy a cheap used car.
There is no alternative.
Not gonna happen in the OP’s price point of $12,000
In general the hack for used cars is not to chase what everyone else is chasing (late model Camrys and RAV4s, etc).
Not much worth looking at except a 2008 Legacy and maybe the 09 Sonata.
He should increase his budget accordingly. 2018 camry depreciation in the next 3 years will probably only $5k.
If we count per month basis, I can stretch upto $300 per month.
I think if you double your original budget of 250/mo, you may possibly, maybe, be able to get something.
Honestly speaking that is a bad financial move. If I am looking to pay $500 per month, I would rather buy something in the range of rav4s or honda crv with 60-70+ months of loan and have a monthly installment of $600-650. At least by the end I would have the asset(car doesn’t matter the depreciation - it will have some value)
Current idea is to get a vehicle with no commitment to own it in future. Leasing is exactly like that. But whatever money you pay for lease is throw away because you ain’t getting back anything after the lease term is over unless you buy back the car.
So I want to minimize my throw away amount.
Your options are a bad financial decision, as you described it, or not lease a car that meets your requirements at all. You aren’t comparing one option where you lease a car for 250-300 a month to leasing a nicer car at 500 (maybe, but still might be too low) a month. It is 500 a month, or none at all. None at all is the most likely with your lack of credit history, but leasing a cheap car that has what you want for your price range isn’t a possibility.

There is no denying that people are able to get awesome deals. All I am asking is help to understand what my options are to be able to steal something similar. I understand that since I am new to the country my credit history is something uncertain but there would be alternatives right?
The real thing is I am struggling to get a decent car or a decent deal. All everyone wants is to just take me to the cleaners when I want to finance/lease the car. I mean I have a really nice paying job and this is the time(when new to the country) when one needs support the most. What will I do with all the support once I am settled into the country 3-5 years down the line?
I tried visiting a lot of dealerships to get my best options. But all I learnt was that they want to steal away money. They lie about interest rates and stuff(for eg they told they were charging 6% but when I reverse calculated it was coming around 12%). So I knew that they are going to optimize for themselves.
Hence I turned towards this community of buyers thinking people here could help me optmize stuff from a customers perspective. But turns out I might not make much progress here as well. Look there was one broker who is also trying to fill their pockets by suggesting I just double the budget. How can I believe what I am asking is impossible when I see something similar being achieved by folks at least twice a day.
If it were an easy solution, I would have solved it already. But it’s not and hence I am turning towards this community.
Did you not read this thread at all? People mentioned how those deals require tier 1 credit, which you will not get with no US credit history. Some of those deals, as also mentioned in this thread, require conquest or loyalty rebates. Just because your credit does not qualify you for a low interest rate doesn’t mean anyone is stealing your money, it means your credit doesn’t get you the best rate. Same for if you don’t qualify for rebates. They aren’t stealing your money, you just dont qualify. So I would agree, you probably won’t get much help here, but that seems to be because you aren’t capable of hearing feedback that doesn’t match exactly what you want to to be.
Did you add $4,000 to the total cost because you don’t qualify for Conquest?
You can’t keep ignoring facts.
But you can contact sellers in the Marketplace for Ioniq 5, EV6, etc to see if you’ll get approved and compromise on some features to stay in your budget.
You want an easy solution, find an american spouse with good credit history to get you that lease. ![]()
Yup I did that. It comes around low 300s’ but that thing is not available at that particular dealership.
Well I don’t want to be trolled. If you can’t read then let me re-iterate the title says I am looking for advise what part of it doesn’t mean like accepting feedback to you. If you look at all of my replies they are doing nothing but giving more data points about my particular situation. So as I see it, I am discussing with the forum. If you don’t feel like contributing, go ahead and don’t reply but stop trolling.
Not that i encourage this option but I am already married. ![]()
That’s a lot of hate thrown at people with no financial interest in the outcome, who just wanted to help or provide the facts.
Like Scott sells BMW’s and Porsches. He’s not selling you anything. And even if he magically found you a fully loaded BMW IX at $500 a month he wouldn’t be filling his pockets. He’d be getting fired.
I wish I lived in your fantasy world. Must be nice there. But I can’t. So

I think posters are simply being honest (if a harsh, at times).
What you want is completely unrealistic with your budget and (lack of) credit history. You will either need to change your list of requirements or your budget.
With utmost positive intent I am happy to hear what can I change in requirements to fit it in my budget…
