Nah, probably not too far off for a level 1 charger.
17.3 kWh battery. On a 20 amp circuit, maxed out, you might see 1.4 kW output. That’d put you in the 12-13 hour range for a full charge.
There’s no way you were doing a full 0-100% charge on an ioniq EV on a level 1 charger in 12 hours. If you were on a 20 amp outlet, pulling the full 20 amps with no charger efficiency knock down, you could maybe do 15 hours.
Keep in mind you can get 30% back with a tax refund for a L2 charger and install. Some utility companies (unfortunately not where I live) also provide significant discounts, worth checking into their website.
I had a 220 outlet for L2 charging installed outside the garage at my house for my 2018 330e and it was well worth it. It depends on how far they need to go to get to the circuit breaker, but I recall the install for mine was around $250-300, and the Duosida charger I picked up was around $200. Taking into account the 30% tax refund, it was $350 for the whole thing. Definitely shop around for install quotes, the price varied significantly (highest quote was over $1k, most in the 500 range until I found the one I went with).
Took the charging time for my 330e down from 8 hours, to just under 2 hours. I primarily drive short trips since I mostly work from home, the ability to quickly pop it on and have it at 100% by the time I was ready to drive again allowed me to almost always have power to drive fully on electric.

On a side note - its actually not that hard of an install and seriously debated doing it myself, but I don’t like working in the circuit breaker box, I’ll leave that to the professionals.
I was referring to the 50 amp comment from another post. The 240 V onboard charger limit is 32 A so a 50 amp charger won’t do it any faster than 2-2.5 hours . I think your level one charging is in line with what the Jeep manual says.
I hear ya - tax credit is appealing. I got some rough quotes from electricians to do the run and it was going to be $1k just to get the power there. Then say another 500-1000 for an L2 charger and your all of a sudden into it for a couple grand.
If the Jeep was full electric - then it’s a no brainer to get l2 charging. But with it being a hybrid and having the option to just run it on gas, it’s not as appealing.
FYI rumors over on the Jeep forums that dealers are having orders cancelled on 4xE due to chip shortage. I’ll update if I hear anything more substantive.
The TN dealer said 4XE has no chip shortage. I asked cause of the 1 key for others. But was told no problems with 4XE production since they are made in Toledo.
