Options for a sub-$1,000/mo. Payment

Looking to lease a nice daily driver with a monthly payment under $1,000. What do you all recommend I look at?
We’re living in a ridiculous time where cars that shouldn’t be over $1,000/mo. (i.e., $75,000 MSRP BMW 540i) are easily breaking the $1,000 mark. It’s frustrating for those who like to hack a nice deal.

Is there a reason why EVs aren’t on your radar? Almost literally every EV at every MSRP comes in below $1k

As long as we see people that are willing to pay $1,000 for a BMW 540 we won’t see any price reduction anytime soon.

Lucid Air Touring or Rivian R1S if I were in your shoes! Not because they’re cheap, but because they’re genuinely very impressive vehicles that drive amazingly well.

There are a ton of both gas and EV cars under $1k monthly. Check out Signed Deals to see what others have been able to get, and of course there’s also Marketplace.

The R1S is no longer leasing so cheaply anymore now that they’ve cleared out the 2024 Quad motors.

All of their lease figures on their site factor in $7k down by default to get them to look so low. It’s annoying, but not as annoying as the “predicted savings” that Tesla forces into its figures.

When you factor in tax, the effective for a base model with no options is over $1k/mo. And if you want a color other than LA Silver, or upgraded wheels, audio, battery, interior, etc, it just goes up from there.

EVs make the best daily drivers.

If it has to be gas, 530 or e350 for comfort or S3 or G70 for sporty.

Did you look through the Marketplace at all?

A friend who has a lucid was impressed by the ride, he was not impressed by the quality.

I’m coming out of an EV lease (jaguar i-pace), and I hate range limitation. I recognize that the jaguar has awful range compared to what’s being produced today. But it’s really tainted my EV experience.

There’s plenty of cars to lease under $1k/month. This is LeaseHackr!

A ton of EVs under $500/month
EQS, e-tron GT, sub $800/month

Marketplace has i5 and 530 for ~$700/month

In the end, you can always get a broker to narrow down your search.

Why would you ever subject yourself to the torment of a Jag i-Pace?

Test drive a Lucid, Rivian, or EQS and see how much your viewpoint changes on EVs

I got it in 2020 for 550 a month with only drive off. It was a deal combined with an impulsive stupid decision.

Can get a Taycan for under $1k/mo

Nothing wrong waking up for work knowing you got a porsche outside waiting to be ripped

Question for all:

I’ve gotten a quote for a '20 Taycan Turbo S for $1094 a month on a 12/15k lease.

Is this a good deal??

Do you like paying for ALL repairs out of pocket?
Edit : Poster clarified it was CPO and under a warranty.

Yes this is a good deal.

If you don’t know what you’re talking about, refrain from commenting

You mean a '20 porsche is still under warranty?

I am not going to educate you on how it all works. Feel free to do your own research

Yes. Porsches CPO program is 24 months/unlimited miles so the CPO leases are under warranty.
