One pay lease for Acura

Are one pay lease for Acura safe? In the rare event of car totaled, will they provide pro rated amount of lease unused back to the person?

That’s pretty much the only path I believe.

Mercedes benz is the only one that tries to do a recapture (aka charge you money) in a total loss event I believe

That’s not correct, MBFS one-pay leases will provide a pro-rated refund in the event of a total loss.

You’re probably thinking of the one guy in another forum that had MBFS try to keep their MSD’s on a regular lease after a total loss, even though insurance was covering it.

I’m not aware of any mainstream bank that won’t provide a pro-rated refund on a one-pay lease, otherwise no one would do them.

Oh yah, i am thinking of him and his MSDs….though would they refund in a total loss? Anyone post confirmation?

Thanks

Just trying to check I’m not doing a major mistake

One pay lease is saving decent bit of money for these 2 year zdx lease offers

I read through the fine print on my honda lease and it did say they would return payments and with Acura being same company it’s probably also the same. Your are probably safe with single pay.

Anywhere in particular, like a section, where you found this

I will try ask the dealer or try find it myself in paperwork to know what it says for those rare occurrences

section 24 and 25 of the ilaw hfs-ucl-u-eps-14 1/21 lease form
