Brian, knowing th factors that make leasing a better deal than buyin/financing a car will help you determine if the lease is a good “deal”
what is your definition of a good deal? what is your Target Price/Pmt per month?
Since the car has a horrible residual (58% 36/12) a horrible MF (8.45%), little rebates ($500 at best) and very little dealer discount, this vehicle will not return the lease deal you are seeking (probably under $200?)
if you really like the features in this vehicle for the price it is probably a better purchase for you.
But imho their will be lower $$ deals on may other cars from the Asian brands for basis transportation as evidenced by the Marketplace deals.
Well I like the way it looks and seems pretty nice. I have GM employee pricing so was looking for something for a fun everyday driver in the $300 payment or less range with just first payment due on signing.
YMMV, but I wouldn’t consider that “horrible” for an ICE car at 36 mo/12K. But, yes, the rest of what you’ve listed makes this not a great lease deal.
I don’t think you’re getting anywhere close to that payment outside of an EV.
I have noticed most all the deals talked about here are EV’s. I’m just finishing a $300 a month 18 month 15000 mi lease on a Nissan Frontier. If I remember correctly I only put down first month and tags on it.
If you still have a copy of the contract, that would state what you paid at signing.
There were some cheap Frontier and Rogue deals early last year (IIRC). I don’t remember them being as cheap as you mention, but I could was not paying close attention.
At any rate, I would suggest taking a look at the Marketplace deals to see what you can find in your stated price range.
