Palm Beach County (you called out Jupiter which along with Juno are the northern most parts of PBC) is absolutely wonderful. For the last 5 years we leave here within a week of school ending and come back within a day or 2 of it beginning, truly couldn’t imagine a better lifestyle.
Let’s use a day at the beach in Juno as an example; I drive on an open road, with no traffic, and park in a large lot with endless spaces which are free, I walk on the humongous spacious beach also for free, and I enjoy a quiet awesome day on soft sand with tropical water. I then return home quick and easy (again with no traffic) and take a dip in my pool. March, October, December, no difference.
But my buddy grinding his way into Manhattan everyday, good news, Monmouth County just reassessed his taxes, he’s thrilled! Meanwhile, as long as I live here for 6 months and 1 day a year, my property taxes will never rise more than 3% in a given year.

Talking about your parking options as one of the key features of the area is so deliciously American.
Palm beach area is def nice. Naples is nice if you’re on deaths doorstop. There are a lot of places you can live though besides NYC or palm beach.
I can give 1mm examples, but for someone in NY, there is no counter to that.
Fully agree there are tons of other places to live, and for someone hypothetically in the Midwest, this conversation is stupid as they view any of these options as bad.
It sounds like you have a reasonable amount of financial security/work flexibility if you can snowbird with your whole family. I’ve spent plenty of time all over PBC commuting as far down as Hollywood and back and the grind is absolutely as bad as anything in the tri-state.
