This is by far the most myopic and sensationalist perspective. It’s embedded in a hunch or dare I say wishful thinking on the part of partisans. The world is always on fire with every move this administration makes and usually the premonitions on MSNBC and CNN wind up not coming to fruition. So I’ll reserve my panic until I see what happens in the near term. As I said, I think the execution sucked and I am man enough to admit it. But I wouldn’t dare make bold statements like “the damage has been done” within 24 hours of an announcement being made.
