I have a sales tax question in NY. I am trading in a truck and getting 73,000 on trade. Buying a used Truck for 35,000 and a used SUV for 28,000 at the same time of trade in, can the trade in be divided by the dealer legally among the 2 vehicles so I have no NYS sales tax liability for either vehicle.
