Agreed. But made-up numbers are not opinions. Just like years of continuous nonsensical posts like âassume $2,000 for TTLâ is not an opinion. Every line item comprising TTL is a number. Neither the line items nor the sum needs to be assumed.
Assumptions such as assuming the OPâs annual driving needs are not opinions.
Making stuff up is not an opinion and neither is it helpful. We might as well start making up RV and MF.
Making stuff up is the name of the game on LH.
Max_g is allowed to call people brain-dead for considering leases on VW, even though there are pre-negotiated lease deals for Atlas, Taos, Jetta, and Tiguan sponsored through LH.
Max_g is allowed to call people moronic for taking what he describes as trash-deals since he thinks itâs wiser to purchase a vehicle than to lease. Even though he never assesses the cost of funds, ownership duration, or opportunity cost of such decisions.
Max_g is allowed to mock people for wasting money when they want new cars with manufacturer warranty.
And letâs not forget when he makes up statements about Volvoâs extended warranty programs and pisses off @thevolvoguy
All of his positions are âmade upâ in the sense theyâre just his opinion that he lords over everyone. It is funny to me then he gets upset at Forbs for making stuff up. His pot and kettle should meet.

In reviewing @forbsâs last 20 posts, I donât really understand how you or anyone else could conclude that theyâre fabricating things unless you someone how access to their receipts, company documents, or work in their industry.
I have no interest in further derailing this thread or doing unnecessary âhomework,â so I will end my participation in this thread by writing that I support @michaelâs statement that any disagreements from any posters should be done in a civil manner.

As I said, when we say DAS on this site, we mean fees due as signing. So yeah, youre either confused or a troll

@Siejammy is a long-time and pretty regular poster, so I think they wouldâve been very clear if the DAS was more than inception fees.
And so what? He threw out âtrollâ and was wrong about DAS definition which leads to confusion about the ârealâ deal. Plenty of people here already talk about a âgreatâ payment with a 5000 DAS.

Sorry for the confusion, by âweâ I mean the community at large, which is comprised of a lot of great people who share their deals, coach and inform others and even offer leads. And by âweâ I mean people who donât obfuscate monthly payments behind a big cap cost reduction stuffed in a âDASâ, which tends to be most people. If my payment comment reflected a large CCR I would have said so.
