It took 5 weeks of negotiating between 5-7 dealers to get this deal (I hate dealers more than ever after this one). The ones that really caused me to flip shit were the ones who wanted me to pay way more than I was currently paying for the same exact car I was trading in (if I took another Limited)! It’s also funny because I had a trade in some type of equity on it (it was super low mileage) and some of the dealers wanted to charge me for trading it in!

These guys really wanted the car but they never officially wrote down its value. The day after I took my car, they had my old one for sale at $5k above the by out

I’m already dreading the day I have to turn it in and do it again

I probably will start hunting for a BMW X3 or Infiniti Q50 between now and mid-Jan. I hope I can get something with adaptive cruise control like this Overland but at under $350 per month. Any starting numbers or car suggestions are appreciated!

@Benedetto Thanks for giving me tips on making this deal happen!

Thats a lot of rebates. You sure there are almost 10k in rebates on overland? Plus did you say you had 5k in equity rolled in the deal?

On the lease agreement, it says rebates and non-cash credits. I guess the trade is in there?

Thats not a good deal man, sorry. Thats over 600 a month if you roll everything in.

What do you mean? I only paid $2700 upfront -> $69.23/month. So the total is $484/month. I’m not sure how you got $600.

You applied a $5k trade as a cap cost reduction - that’s about $130 per month for 39 months. Add that straight to the top of your payment.

Oh, I see. Well, the alternative was to trade in the car (it was a lease return), cash out on the equity then come back and get the Overland. At that point, it was more effort and I was already tired of shopping around.
