Been pricing out NX300 vs Audi Q3, and I’m curious about what Hackrs think between these two cars for the money. To make the comparison similar, here are the numbers:
NX300 - 40k msrp 10k/36mo, Los Angeles - roughly $381/mo w tax with 0 drive off, that includes first month payment. Could also do the 43,800 msrp (comes w nav, better sound system) for about 411/mo, all in.
Q3 - 40k msrp premium plus - roughly 425/mo. This includes the loyalty and lease retention rebates ($1k each). Unlike Lexus, this model has premium bose sound, no need to add NAV for it.
Which would you get? It’s a complicated decision because Audi doesn’t seem to be completely up to date on technology. For example, I don’t believe they have rear cross traffic warning or adaptive cruise. Odd that the German carmaker doesn’t have all the cool gadgets.
The thing that super annoys me about lexus is that to get premium audio, you have to get the NAV system. That model is almost $3k more (almost 44k, because it also comes with some other junk I don’t need). Whereas, I can get a Q3 without NAV, but with the Bose system in the 40k model).
So I’m sort of at an impasse. I really want the premium sound in whichever car I choose, but I don’t know why anyone would ever use NAV in 2018 when - particularly in Los Angeles - Waze is super effective at finding obscure routes to take you around mounds of traffic. That being said, paying the premium for NAV (and thus getting premium sound) in the NX300 means I also get the tech that Audi doesn’t even offer.
So, thoughts?
