We got a dealer in a suburb of Chicago to agree to a 7.5% discount off of MSRP for a Sorento but the numbers don’t add up. My fiance decided she wasn’t going to let $20 kill the deal so she went ahead and signed. She added the wheel and tire protection for $699 and brought the payments to $569, with $569 drive off. 16194948578263062374936832864181|375x500

All your fee info is incorrect. Chicago tax is a bit tough to calculate. You’re better off putting the monthly tax rate it and then adding the upfront tax to the gov fees manually. There’s also a $349 by dealer add on tucked away in there.

Chicago is 9.5% plus another 9% usage tax.

Yes, some is monthly, some is upfront (in how the bank pays the state, it can still be capitalized). It doesn’t quite add up right to putting 18.5% into the monthly tax area because of how rent charge is applied.
