Is the following deal seem right for the VW nation-wide “$149/month, $999 DAS” in the context of the Bay Area? I was estimating an additional $50 to the monthly payment (assuming 9.125% tax rate and fees rolled into the monthly payment), not $91.

What about the tax on rebates, title, license, options and dealer fees that’s listed in the fine print? This is a great example of why advertised deals are not what they seem and can generally be beat.

This is what I quoted with national flyer… It’s never $999 DAS… it’s $999 as down, look at the break down that they send to me. this is with 9.38% tax rate.
Got another quote for $2600 due, $149+tax… <— this one is with marked up MF(0.00041), base is 0.00001
