Very sad, guess I’ll have to wait until I can actually afford to buy a new Porsche for the Euro delivery experience now, if that day ever comes. Too bad they lease horribly.
Volvo has a similar program IIRC
I found something like this.
" May 4 also marks the opening of various other BMW production sites, including many key factories in Germany. The Welt will be reopening on May 4 as well, which means receiving your European Delivery BMW will soon be possible once again. Naturally though, all operations will be conducted in accordance with newly enacted guidelines and safety measures set forth to continue mitigating the spread of the new virus."
Yeah, but I actually like driving
Touché…
Volvo, Mercedes, and Porsche still have the program. Of the three, Mercedes provides the highest discount for EU delivery (up to 7% I believe), while Porsche provides no discount for it.
It’s sad but what % of the cars they sell in the US every month are built here and not there?
They do for models built in Sweden.
The big picture has some other variables (free flights or hotels etc) when comparing the different programs
I remember when Porsche announced a price reduction in their program… they removed the premium for ETD
LOL I hoped that was understood… Volvo isn’t shipping China-built cars over to Sweden for Americans
Have you seen what Geely/Volvo builds in China though?
Imagine a China overseas delivery for this totally not a BMW X4. It’s based off the same platform as the XC40 and Polestar 2.
I mean most people don’t know which models come from China (or the US). And thought I was crazy trying to find the one YV vin last summer in a sea of L vins. I am nuts, but for other reasons.

Thoughts exactly.
I’d need to see in Rose Gold for that.
its gorgeous. Quality?
Would it include the Rona?
Don’t even think about it. It’s the same engine and trans and built in the same factory as the Volvo XC40 (at least for Asia). But, it’s domestic chinese brand, so YMMV, I say steer away.
