Isnt the tax supposed to be 6.625?

.4% in NJ for “supplemental titling fee” or lux tax as most call it haha, on any new un-titled vehicle over $45k sale price. Most of the broker calculators you’ll see here just use 7.025% as an approximation. Technically it’s incorrect, as the .4% or .004 should be applied to the whole vehicle sale price, not just the whole lease. Best way to do it would be to run the accurate calc at 6.625, then add the .004 of final sale price to the “gov fees” line with the dmv charge.
