I was looking at lease but found a decent deal on a used car. I got this quote for buying. It is used 2023 Mercedes Benz gle 350 from BMW dealership. The original MSRP is around $7100. It was sitting on the lot for quite a while so the price dropped from $6400 to $5700. The mileage on it is around 15,600 as personal use.
I think Nitro fill is very weird charg and also two govement fee? They also charged 4000 down payment even though I said I am paying full cash. Do they try to fool me?
Can you advise me?
You do have tax on top of the selling price so that’s the down payment. But this is a terrible deal. Especially for a used car. Nitro and perma are BS
Isn’t Maryland tax 3521.76 the selling tax?
I would think they ran it as a finance deal instead of a cash deal. I would call them again and ask for a straight cash OTD price.
The nitro and perma are def. BS fees and I wouldn’t pay for those.
Also, how many miles on this GLE? Missing some info to determine true value of this vehicle.
It is about 15600 miles on it.
If this dealership is playing games, I would just move on. I see DOZENS of GLE’s at about the same price, some with as few as 4k miles within a 400 mile radius. Depending on how far you are willing to go. You may also be able to get it delivered (some may offer it for free).
Tell them they can have their nitro back and you will fill it with free nitro from Costco
FTC is coming out with a rule against this. Move to another dealer
Dealers that put Nitrofill are stealerships that will just rip you off in more than one way.
You know Nitro is AIR right? So you are paying them $400 to fill your tires with AIR
Go to another dealership.
Run not walk away from this dealer tbh. All the dealer fees listed are marked up there and nitro/perm plate are complete bs add ons that the dealer and sales guy pocket for some extra commission.
Thank you for helping this nobie female car buyer. I sent another message to the dealer based on the comments here . They charged $25 government fee, $899 process/doc fee in addition to tax and DMV registration fee. Those are all the charges now. I am still thinking about this car since the price itself ($56500) is very good with amg trim, parking assistance, night package. Do you still recommend to walk away?
I also have another new car deal with 7.5 % msrp off pre-incentive. I can use 2500 BOA small business cash deal if I get financing with them. The same package car’s MSRP would be $72000 and sale price will be $66600( 7.5 off MSRP) -$2500= $64100.
I hoestly do not know which is better. How do you think?
What’s the price on a new one? A 2023 sold in the fall of 2022 is about 1.5 yr old … important to get enough discount relative to the amount of warranty you are giving up.
Is this for a new 2024 GLE? If yes, and you can afford it I would go with this deal. I have not been following the GLE market closely, but it seems to have softened a bit.
The new car’s msrp is $72,000 and I can buy around $64,100 with best senario.
Yes, this is 2024 model. I also think 7.5% off msrp is pretty good since the dealers on marketplace here is telling me 5% off msrp.
Small premium for the brand new one over the used one…. Makes sense to get the new one I think
