Nissan offers vs what dealer is telling me

So. I am coming out of a Pathfinder lease and trying to get into a 22. Nissan has some pretty good offers posted on their site considering the market. However the dealers are telling me that Nissans offers are not legit/available through nmac. I am being told that the money factor is still at .00164 and that Nissan posted offers would need a much lower MF. Dealer has told me he would honor a 000000 MF if it was available through nmac but can’t. Any way to call Nissan out on this?
Ty in advance

Not sure but that was the same deal they had last month when I was looking around. Only I heard is that the incentives got worse this month. Maybe its an error

Also, Ask in th edmunds forums. They will giveyou the MF for the month and your zip code

Updated: Edmunds looks like it is showing .00164 for 10K miles in most zip codes and a residual of 62%. Its about 4%.

IMO – It is way too much for that car

Just to point out by the ad, it looks like it is not the MF that is driving the price down but the cap cost. The actual sale price of the car is 43,827 off of 50k. so approx 6k off, 2 is coming from you, 4 from rebates and dealer to get you at 472.

So the dealer would need to reduce sale price to 43+.
That’s never gonna happen. Looks like I’ll be buying out my current lease. Best I have been able to do is $634 all in first month due. 36/15. I agree too much $$$

I’m also in a Pathfinder that’s coming near the end of lease (2018 SV 4x4 with cold weather and tech packages, $323/mo in DE).

I’m planning to email the salesperson I got this one from to see where she can get me on a 2022. I’ll be looking at the SV trim, not Platinum, but I’ll let you know what kind of numbers I get.

Please do. I was quoted $450 for S 36/10

I hope I don’t end up in the same situation. I have until November, so maybe there’s some chance the market will get back to a more normal state by then, but I doubt it.

I don’t exactly not like my Pathfinder, but it’s just the most average car I’ve ever owned.

Thats how I feel with most Nissans. They are average, nothing spectacular. You can’t buy one because their value drops like a rock. Even in this market, they have negative equity.

I have a 2019 QX60 (I’m guessing similar to new Pathfinder Platinum) and I’m in the mid-300s, I would never consider a Pathfinder in the 400s with any money DAS. I’d wait it out if possible, it’s such a competitive segment of car, when supply gets back to normal (maybe 1-2 years?), then it’ll be back to giving them away. I’m strongly considering an EV lease or maybe even a Sorento Hybrid, I was so let down that they didn’t bring back the Pathfinder Hybrid with the new design.

Sorry ranting since I’m the last Nissan fanboy and while they’re making a come back, some decisions irk me (especially no PHEV/Hybrid options)

When’s that supposed to start?

I’m in a QX60 now as well (2018). I am at 538.00 – my car is fully loaded with Theater but in this market a Sorrento S is almost 500 a month and thats considered a deal?

If you look at car reviewers, Nissan seems to be on a roll with Rogue and Pathfinder after really lackluster products. I had a 2015 Pathy which made me permanently yawn but it fit the bill for size/specs but underwhelmed in design. Moved to QX60 Lux w/ Essential which was exactly the same interior but plusher and I think what the new Pathfinder is aspiring too which makes perfect sense

This market is just bonkers and I assume will correct a little once supply/demand gets to normal. What I’ve learned is manufacturing in a just in time environment is tough and there’s going to be lean/fat days since no one can forecast right during covid. That said, Nissan isn’t there yet with products to command the premium and I’m a Nissan fan! I personally looking at the id.4/F150 Lightning since the third row is mainly for storage in my Pathfinder/QX60.

I think the Frontier refresh will give them a boost, but it has to be priced right.

Fwiw, currently in SoCal here’s the promotion (though seems like clickbait since dealers aren’t honoring these for the Leaf )

Its not that they aren’t honoring the Leaf deals, its that the offer is for the 2022 Leaf and there are no 2022 leafs in the U.S. yet. so while I agree they may not honor it once they hit the ground… there is nothing to honor yet.

It is a strange promo for Nissan to put out when there is no stock.

I love the Frontier refresh but it’s 27K and for my needs the Rogue would be better but dang do I like the restyle.

I think the problem is Nissan always inflated their prices to look like a Toyota and then gave you tons of money/rebates to look like a better deal but now that extra cash has dried up.

I called around in my area, the dealers getting stock were reserving the Leaf leases and marking it up. Still a good deal but I think it’s very clickbaity. Hopefully a volume dealer will honor when they get stuff in but right now dealers aren’t in sync with corporate, otherwise these deals are awesome if they were true.

Yea, I think if you are comparing vehicles, there needs to be some incentive to jump into a Nissan right now, because the segments are competitive. If I am going to buy a car, I would pick another manufacturer for the same price. They need to sweeten the deal

They need to bring back Ghosn from exile :joy:

Toyota desperately needs the competition (not a fan of Taco at all), and overlanding appears to be all the rage here in Cali. I can see a $150/mo Frontier eating Tacos for lunch, outfitted with bars and rooftop tents. A boy can dream.
