Have you looked at marketplace here in your region for what’s offered? I’ve seen a lot of Nissan offers recently. How do they compare to what you’ve posted?

Are your circumstances going to change drastically in 18 months? For instance: Will your net income go up significantly or will you no longer need a car?

There seem to be some misconceptions around what leasing is and who benefits from leasing.

The people who benefited most from leasing were those who were going to repetitively drive brand new BMWs, Mercedes, etc anyway and found leasing as a way to lower their TCO (total cost of ownership).

They could do so because they had the cash to put down MSD, had loyalty from prior ownership, or had corp/fleet from working at a select list of companies, knew about OL codes and had bought CCA membership, etc etc.

Leasing also benefited people who wanted … let’s call them toys for lack of a better word and again had the financial security to easily afford the overlapping monthly payments and insurance coverage on those extra cars. People who could pick up a Camaro V8 on a whim, an extra Mini to toss around, maybe even a Jaguar F-type.

OTOH repetitive leases in the Altima segment make no sense because they are a huge waste of money compared to financing something like a Camry or Accord instead.

They said it was because of my credit score

Tier 1-4 all have the same rate with Nissan.

Care to share what it is? Less than 680?

When I checked my fico auto it’s 734. They said it was less than 700, so I don’t know

Good to know

You should have received a copy of the credit score used by the dealership. You can always request your free Experian credit report with your credit score here: https://www.freecreditreport.com/.
