I am located in New Jersey where sales tax is levied on the total lease payment.
On Subaru.com there is a Subaru Wrx Special Offer for my area with:
12k miles/ 36 months
With $1,999 due at lease signing.
345 a month
Here’s the full print:
Blockquote MSRP $28,080 (incl. $885 freight charge). Net cap cost of $26,361 (incl. $595 acq. fee). Total monthly payments $12,420. Lease end purchase option is $16,006. Must take delivery from retailer stock by April 30, 2019. Other leases available on other models. Cannot be combined with any other incentives. Special lease rates extended to well-qualified buyers. Subject to credit approval, vehicle insurance approval & vehicle availability. Not all buyers may qualify. Payments may be higher in some states. Net cap cost & monthly payment excludes tax, license, title, registration, retailer fees, options, insurance & the like. Retailer participation may affect final cost. At lease end, lessee responsible for vehicle maintenance/repairs not covered by warranty, excessive wear/tear, 15 cents/mile over 12,000 miles/year and $300 disposition fee. Lessee pays personal property and ad valorem taxes (where applies) & insurance. Offer not available in Hawaii. See participating retailer for details.
My question is the drive off going to be $1999 (which includes first month payment, government and dealer fees, acquisition fee, and total tax)?
Or is the down payment of $1999 in this case just a cost reduction and I will have to put more money up for the taxes and fees?
This is what I came up with on the calculator. Is this feasible?
