New lease vs swapalease?

Seems like you can get a pretty good deal from people trying to get out of their leases. I’m trying to figure out if i’m missing anything other than being able to pick out the exact features you would want. For a few hundred less and no money down, it almost seems like a no-brainer to just continually buy out other people’s leases…

And it just got me thinking - if i picked up an 2017 X5 with 6 months left on it for right at 600/month, would it still qualify for a loyalty credit in 6 months when the lease is over?

I know you can get a solid lease but the deals are pretty few and far between. This just seems way easier unless i’m missing something.

When you’re hacking leases on MB and BMW loaners, you generally don’t have much choice, either. You can wait it out and hope to find something with exactly what you want, but it may never come so you need to be flexible.

If you’re flexible and leave yourself enough lead time, yes, you’re spot on.

As far as I know, if you have a BMW registered in your name (or someone else in your household) then you’d qualify for loyalty.

As always, you have to do your due diligence. Factor the disposition and transfer fees etc into your calculations. Inspect the car and see if you’ll be on the hook for new tires, excess wear and tear, etc.
