New Honda Pilot

Before you clarified; I was shocked at your 20mpg statement
My 4 banger turbo’d sedan can’t even get 20 MPG around the city. Best I’m about 17

Who are these geniuses that buy Pilots “with more off road capability”?

families that don’t want wranglers? i’m expecting the price to be creeping up to $50k for the top end model, so at that point i honestly don’t even know.

Meh, the whole segment is a joke. I’m going to get a lot of hate, but really it’s families who need a minivan but don’t want to be seen in a minivan. So they make pretend “rugged” SUVs that are just Minivans with 4 doors and some fancy decorations to make it look rugged. Nobody actually offroads a Highlander, Pilot, etc.

You know what I hate about Hondas? The rear middle seat passenger seat belt that comes from the roof.

In what planet does that design make sense? I see they carried it over to the Pilot. Must be nice to be an interior designer for Honda when you can lift things straight out of the 2000s and stick it in 2022.

I just cannot with the seat belt. It looks hideous with that hump, lessens stacking space, and absolutely is a bitch to deal with when you’re the passenger sitting next to the middle person who now has a seat belt in your face.

Totally agree on the minivan statement. I would of bought one if it had AWD and decent interior but now with only Sienna left as the only option I don’t feel that hybrid set up is powerful enough for me.

I feel like Honda and Nissan are playing the same game with the Pilot and Pathfinder–they went from super boxy, to very round, and now back to boxy again.
