I know, right?

Taxes for out of state deals can be challenging for some dealers. For example, I learned that CT charges a higher tax for MSRPs over $50K and supposedly NJ has something similar?

Too many complexities for some of them!

It’s gotta happen this month lol

The NJ surcharge is pretty straightforward: an extra 0.4% of SP if above 45K…comes out to $200 for a $50K car.

Ah ok thanks!

That is easy.

I think for CT it’s 6.35% and over 50K is 7.xx @Denalist keep me honest?

NJ has a luxury tax – 0.4% surcharge on the new sale or lease of vehicles priced $45,000 or greater or on vehicles with an EPA rating of less than 19 miles per gallon.

What happened to the 5 series you were negotiating?

So I traded in my Q50 4 months early for my wife to get her into an X2 and took over her Murano. The 5 series is just a bit too small in the back for the family. I love them though

Just not out of New England

NJ and NY would be an easy sale especially since this car has the “Russian package” to quote the great @aronchi
