They should discontinue the 2 Series and make the 330i easier to configure. I do like the current 230i/M240i if for no reason other than it’s possible to add options a la carte and get the exact car you want, assuming dealers will even do factory orders on a 2 Series.
The 2021 M240i seems like potentially the best overall value in BMW’s lineup on paper. Modern interior, decent styling with genuine leather and M colors included standard, and a 0-60 time that matches the 840i.
Thx for sharing. I’m not into smaller cars but this looks good. I don’t like the back that much but whatever. Looks better than the new 4 series for sure.
I simply must say this is one of the ugliest bmws I have seen in a long time (3 and 5 GT’s were ugly too) and that’s from someone thinking the current gen m2 was one of the most complete cars on the planet!
Almost looks like these “fake” cars you see out there with a front and back German installed on an older chassis.
Honestly, if you told me that Mitsubishi was going to re-introduce the Diamante, I would’ve believed you.
But back to the 2-Series. This is a bit of a mixed bag. I like the overall proportions (less awkward than the current 2-Series), and I like greenhouse. I like the lighting in the tail lights, but the shape of the housing and the headlights are really cheap, IMHO. I like some of the crisp folds but the ducktail trunk, side skirts, and front air intakes are all just… too much. I hope that’s part of some optional “aero” package.
And why does a compact coupe need 3-zone climate control???
I also don’t get the German’s fascination w/ light-up interior door panels…
Yea even within the 2 series…the gran coupe looks totally different vs. this new coupe. I can’t even tell what the halo car that the design language is meant to flow from is anymore.
