Damn that’s ugly. Also loses the stick so any compelling reason to get it nevertheless is gone.

When they don’t mess up the grille they go and mess up the headlights.

They should discontinue the 2 Series and make the 330i easier to configure. I do like the current 230i/M240i if for no reason other than it’s possible to add options a la carte and get the exact car you want, assuming dealers will even do factory orders on a 2 Series.

The 2021 M240i seems like potentially the best overall value in BMW’s lineup on paper. Modern interior, decent styling with genuine leather and M colors included standard, and a 0-60 time that matches the 840i.

Thx for sharing. I’m not into smaller cars but this looks good. I don’t like the back that much but whatever. Looks better than the new 4 series for sure.

If I ever get a clown car, it’s going to be purple.

They pick really odd colors for their debuts these days…yuck

The back looks so awful.

I simply must say this is one of the ugliest bmws I have seen in a long time (3 and 5 GT’s were ugly too) and that’s from someone thinking the current gen m2 was one of the most complete cars on the planet!
Almost looks like these “fake” cars you see out there with a front and back German installed on an older chassis.

hard to tell when they have a purple car… Lines look all weird and clashes against the red/orange lights… still better than the beaver teeth on the 4.

Looks like BMW made a BR-Z

Still a million times better looking than the monstrosity that is the current 4 series

Nah, wait until the next 5-Series hits:

Honestly, if you told me that Mitsubishi was going to re-introduce the Diamante, I would’ve believed you.

But back to the 2-Series. This is a bit of a mixed bag. I like the overall proportions (less awkward than the current 2-Series), and I like greenhouse. I like the lighting in the tail lights, but the shape of the housing and the headlights are really cheap, IMHO. I like some of the crisp folds but the ducktail trunk, side skirts, and front air intakes are all just… too much. I hope that’s part of some optional “aero” package.

And why does a compact coupe need 3-zone climate control???

I also don’t get the German’s fascination w/ light-up interior door panels…

Not that I was hopeful, but sad to see the manual gone in the non-M. I thought a 230 6MT would be a nice little commuter.

I love Velvet Blue.

Re new 2 series, it’s a big meh from me.

I really can’t keep up with all the styling changes BMW is pumping out these days. Sadly, many of these are going to age extremely poorly.

Their design language is kinda all over the place right now. Definitely not the “sausages of different lengths” approach of the past.

is it just me?

Yea even within the 2 series…the gran coupe looks totally different vs. this new coupe. I can’t even tell what the halo car that the design language is meant to flow from is anymore.

None of the auto manufacturers are qualified to build anything allowed in Clown Alley. But I know someone if you need a referral.

Can’t say that that was the car that popped inot my head first.

What is that, BTW?
