New 2018 S90 T8 Hybrid Inscription - 36mo/10k, good deal at 0.88% ? (compared to 1% rule)

I know S90 T6 MOM is the best deal, but am looking at T8 for various reasons.

Only Inscriptions around here, have offer on one (MSRP $78k+) for $680 total for 36mo/10k
0 down, 0 drive-offs (other than max MSDs). First money is 2nd monthly payment.
High tax state.

Wanted 24 month, but told payment jumps nearly $100 mo.

Any thoughts on this?
Based on other posts, seems like a good deal for a T8. Whether or not T8 is worth that much more than a T6 is another (very valid) question.

What % dealer discount?

Don’t rely on the dealer to tell you if 24 months is more or not. Run the numbers yourself.

The T8 stopped being a reasonable contender for a good deal when they pulled $5k worth of incentives at the end of last month. Is the HOV sticker worth $300 a month to you?

Depending on which freeways you take, the HOV sticker might be less and less valuable. I just read that the 110 and 10 fwys will not allow free usage anymore starting at the end of this year. Metro might also take those same policies for the 405 (OC portion) if they convert it to HOT lanes in the future.

Dealer discount currently 6.5% (I haven’t yet pressed too hard for additional). Will double check 24 month numbers.

Considering HOV a minor perk as its value will likely decline (as you mention).

I do like the T8’s power (for a hybrid) and the options (but they’re pricey).

Seems like consensus is shaping up that T8 is overpriced (MSRP) making the 1% rule a misleading benchmark.
After test driving it, I thought is was good but not near-$80k good. Power seemed lacking on incline, road noise was a bit more than expected, $3k sound upgrade seems hard to justify. Plenty of things to like though: good power overall, tons of bells and whistles, good space, better looking in person than pics, etc.

You can get all of that, except the hov sticker and a bit of power, for hundreds less a month in a t6 though.

Can you post a link about no free access to toll lanes w/ HOV decal on 10/110 next year? 530e on my short list of cars this month purely because of the decal so impacts my lease decision greatly.

Jon, tyvm. Could’ve pulled trigger as early as this weekend if I found the right deal. Numbers just totally changed for me as I use 110 every day.
