I got a lease from Nissan back in 2015 fully loaded for 270$ with 12k miles / 36 months.
Currently have 11 months more to go with the lease which matures in 2018 but i am over 36k miles right now. Currently its at 37k miles.
I dont want to pay extra for miles. Nissan is willing to help me out by paying 6 months payment if i get a new nissan but i dont want a new nissan.
I prefer a infiniti q50. Can you guys help me out?
Can infiniti give me a good deal on q50 while help me pay the remaining payments on my nissan altima?
Thanks
You have 2 ways to look at this.
#1 your going to go over your miles by about 20,000 at the end of your lease-- this will cost you $3000 at turn in at $.15 per mile
#2 you can turn in your car now and pay $2970 in remaining payments plus $150 in mileage penalties ($3120 total). Your now free to go get a new car.
Unless your car is worth close or more than the residual value (doubtful) where you can trade it in or sell it.
If you do another lease you would be doing yourself a favor by bumping up your miles. You will be in the same situation in your next car. It is a pay now or pay later, however you are going to pay for the extra miles you use one way or another.
Agreed here that you didn’t realize your Miles and you are going to have to likely pay for the mistake if you want to continue to lease. I would take option 2 for only 1350 cost or 1500 if they still charge for miles.
I have 2 suggestions.
- purchase your car at the end and continue with it and not worry about the miles. You picked that car because you liked it.
- try to get a Nissan dealership to buy your car while you sign for a new lease and that way you don’t have to pay for overage. This is much harder and has you stuck with Nissan.
They will also waive two payments if you stay with Nissan/Infiniti
Park the car. Buy a used off lease infiniti q50 and call it a day. You get your infiniti, it’s cheap, you drive unlimited miles.
