For a 72k Porsche I think $900 is a good lease
It’s only a few hundred diff than a 75k jag
If you can’t spare a few grand a year, then these kind of cars are probably not for you
No, that is not a good deal. But at the end of the day, it’s your money, so if that Miami blue is worth it to you, then enjoy
Neither are good deals, but both are beautiful cars. $633/mo is an F-Type S or R payment. Certainly not a base coupe payment. But you can’t be selective with color if you want to get a good deal. It sounds to me like money is no object for you, in which case you may as well get the Cayman and not worry about whether it’s a good deal.
But you really ought to reach out to that elegant auto guy who said he can do you better. Doesn’t cost anything to find out if he can beat it.
Again, not the point. As @dukez noted, the price on the Jag for a base model is bad, for that monthly you should be in S trim territory. You’re comparing these models seemingly on aesthetics and msrp’s but different brands lease differently and model level matters in understanding what a good lease can look like.
you’re talking to the wrong crowd @Dreamer. Not because of the price tag but because the philosophy of us leasehackrs is to bet the best deals on a particular car. Nobody would pay “only $70/mo” extra for a color. That doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t. But realize who you’re talking to, you won’t find anybody here agreeing with you.
With that being said, Porsche’s lease like crap period and thats why nobody here leases them. Jags are being “given away” sometimes and that’s why some people here would lease that.
If you can afford it and it makes you happy, go pay the $70/mo and live your life, you don’t need random stranger forum dude approval
Thanks for letting me know the philosophy of the forum. I’ll make sure to keep that in mind next time I post again!
Appreciate it, def will enjoy. I do lease quite a few cars a year so I may end up getting both. I too like a good deal but I’m not always looking to get the cheapest base model or whatever. I’ve seen some awesome deals in F-Type R and BMW i8 on here so I have hopes I can attain that skill level one day!
I didn’t realize the 340hp one is base. I thought 280hp is the base. 380 is S? And so on
I will probably reach out just worried I’ll piss off the dealer as he was hesitant as is even though the deal is not as ideal as I wanted.
The Miami blue ones do go pretty fast and there’s always that one idiot rich guy willing to pay $1,300/mo without negotiating at all
I mean in my opinion the lease is only as good as the car. Some of the options definitely increase the entertainment value of the vehicle which is directly correlated to upgraded from base model.
The difference between a base vehicle and the next step up is usually a few more HP, louder exhaust, nicer interior, maybe flashier exterior with more lines but not really common nowadays. So, really, you don’t get much more going a level up. Thus, a dealer doesn’t really lose much if it’s an older model he has to get rid of anyways.
But anywhoooo, I respect your opinion man. I’m sure I could have gotten a better deal from both dealerships but I also don’t like waiting months for a deal (as it takes a bit of research unless you hire someone else)
Damn!! Do you have any Crystal Balls on any Panameras? @vhooloo
Just the ones in my pants
You’re correct. The S is 380 and it goes up from there. I didn’t know there was a Miami blue color option - is that the same as the sapphire? (That’s the color I have).
I think the point being made is you can have all of those premiums at the monthly price point you’re being quoted if you put in some leg work, there is no reason to take a base model at a higher cost. It’s about maximizing the value of your dollar, who cares if the dealer won’t like you going back and pushing for a better deal.
My crystal balls are telling me that Porsche don’t lease well, base or not, miami blue or not. If you want a Porsche, then be a dreamer, not a leasehackr…Enjoy the day everyone - from our prodigal dreamers to our thrifty hackrs…
YOu should probably post on rennlist instead. There you will find 20 thumbs up for Miami blue
Some deep thoughts @vhooloo, hallelujah
Trust me, I tried hacking a Porsche last year, was willing to do any color, base no options. Could not get under 1% rule …
S5 coupe, My 2 cents…
