Need Help! Can't match Dealer #'s

I think that’s BMW. MB waives the first 3k miles (or used to)

Haha. So confusing!
202020

@sth1971 MF is marked up. Start with .00117 (marked up 40 points from the buyrate which you got from Edmunds right?), add 10 MSD and it almost matches the dealer’s #

I got .00077 from edmunds and when I apply the msds that takes it to .00007. Bit the dealer said the MF is .00030 after the Msds. So he’s definitely marking that up right?
Should I be going back to him with the .00007?

Yeah say you want the buyrate MF or a larger discount on the selling price to compensate for the markup.

Either way you would be at 383 (DAS: 1st + MSD) or 340 (1st + MSD + Acq + Doc + DMV)

Not that I heard of. If I use the original mileage adjustment, I get a difference of exactly $150 (or 750 miles at $.20). Maybe they changed it to (miles - 3750)*.20?

Ahh. So you weren’t given this number. That makes more sense now.

Yeah that matches the dealer’s #

Funny how there is a ‘cash down tax’ when there isn’t any cash down. Must be tax on acq & doc.

PS: Don’t forget to residualize PPM (prepaid maintenance) when all is said and done.

Say what? PPM?
What’s that? and how do I factor that in?

I was given the .0003 by the dealer.
Edmunds says it’s .00077 before MSD’s and the calculator says it’s .00007 after MSD’s.

.0003 or .00003? Your calculation used .00003, which isn’t possible. So the dealer marked up the MF to .001 and after MSDs, it’s .0003? That makes more sense.

whoops.
the dealer gave me 0.00030 after MSD’s.
he didnt give me the starting MF.

That is how I understood your original post. Hence how I got to 0.001 original MF

Are these numbers based on the lower MF?
Even when I lower the MF, I can only get to $348.
Something else I should be doing?

I don’t think your calculating with the same due at signing amount. If you correct the MF in your first post and adjust to the same due at signing, it comes close to the dealers numbers.

So based on everyone’s help (THANK YOU!), I updated the calculator (including the taxes and the mileage in the sales price) and was able to get within $3 of the dealer’s numbers.

Is this a good deal? It’s way more than I want to pay. Maybe I’m spoiled from some of the other loaner sub-$300 deals I’ve seen posted.

Where can I go with this?
Per Edmunds, there is a $1250 dealer incentive.
And I may qualify for a fleet discount from with PenFed or Morgan Stanley (are these stackable?).

Forgetting fleet for a moment, if I use the buy rate MF (.00077) and that’s reduced by the MSD’s to .00007, and I apply the $1250 dealer incentive, that gets me to $313, which is closer to where I want to be. Is this realistic?

If it’s way more than you want to pay then it’s not a good deal for you, right? You can try to get buy rate mf but that’s up to the dealer.

How are taxes calculated? Trying to back in the numbers, but can’t seem to get them to work.
The attached shows taxes of $97 (for Cashdown Tax) and $1,174 (for Upfront tax). What’s that based on?

The upfront tax should be your monthly * # months * tax rate
The cash down tax should be tax on acq fee and any other fees which appear to total $1093.97.
