N00B Question - Chevy Equinox Lease Question

Hi,

I’m in CA trying to lease a 2024 Chevy Equinox EV 2LT. The terms are 24/12k, $3,000 down $223/m or $358/m zero down including taxes. There is possibility to do get this slightly lower with single payment (but amount was not provided).

MSRP: $45,465
Dealer Savings: $3,400
Rebate: $10,500
Final Price: $31,565

Tried plugging figures into calculator, but I am fat fingering something because I am not coming up with same figures.

Qualified for:

  • Own a 2010 or newer non-GM vehicle

  • Costco Member

  • GM card Member

  • Teacher

Is this a good deal?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Post your best attempt at the calculator

Look at the pre-negotiated deal for an Equinox in so-cal and compare that to your deal. I think you will see that the pre-negotiated deal is better than what you have considering you are getting a $3K rebate and putting down $3K.

zaimer,

Not sure where to plug the $10,500 rebate in the calculator also, I just used the total of $3,400 for taxed rebate…

This is not at all a good deal for CA. On a $45k MSRP 2024 Equinox you should be looking for a 24 month one pay lease of at most $4000(equivalent to $166 per month incl tax with $0 down) after the $3000 in rebates you qualify for.

In CA you need to be looking to get at least a 10% discount on MSRP on these cars (some people are getting as much as 12%).

Not sure what the $10,500 rebate is. Is that including the federal EV rebate? I believe Chevrolet bakes that rebate into the residual and you dont need to include it in the calculator.

Either way, I bought a $51k MSRP 24 Equinox EV last month and paid a one pay of $6k. I got a 10% MSRP discount. Check my thread. Your deal is much worse than this and you are buying a car that is $6k cheaper than mine. Msg me if you want and I can provide the LA area dealer I used. They said they would do the same deal for others.

The rebate here is $3000, not $10500.

Notice that the offer sheet you have lists a purchase section and a lease section with different incentive amounts for each.

Thanks for replying. I did reach out to a dealer from the Deals section and scheduled to close on a lease tomorrow.

Sounds good!

FWIW, the one pay price I got from the dealership I bought from was $750 less than the price offered by the OC dealer I communicated with in the deals section on this website. And I think the dealer I bought from would have gone lower. In hindsight, I didn’t negotiate as well as I could have.

Hi, what did you pay finally? Which dealers did you work with and which one did you finally sign with? I am a Noob here too, so I have no idea how to get the best deal

I managed to snag a Blazer instead of the Equinox for a total monthly payment of $270/m which included $3500 incentives and one lease payment. I connected and worked with Gene @ Connell Chevy in Costa Mesa through the Leasehackr website and he was amazing to work with.
