I’m considering putting MSDs down on a lease due to the significant overall savings. The dealer is asking me to write them a check made out directly to the dealership. Is that the normal process? I figured it would go to the finance company (Infiniti FS) because they’re the ones controlling the lease. At the end of lease who do I get the money from and how soon after is it paid? As I read in previous posts there is almost no scenario where you don’t get all the money back so I’m assuming that’s still the case.
The dealer escrows it to the captive, the captive returns it.
