Money factor accuracy

Just wondering how accurate the MF is here on the forum, Just had a dealer tell that is was not accurate? Orange County CA

If you asked for a deal check, circle back after you have signed a deal – the community always loves to hear back! Submit your deal to SIGNED! (https://share.leasehackr.com).

Hmmm…the guy that wants you to pay the most money is telling you that your information is bad? Interesting!

RateFinder provides base money factor. Dealers can mark it up. It sounds like you’ve already lost this dealer, try another one.

They could just be marking up too. Make sure you are getting base MF. Also go to Edmunds lease forum for your make/model and check there.

It would help to know the year/make/model, your zip, and what you think the program is.

The RF data is based on what the captives publish each month. As long as they aren’t using a third party bank then RF should match exactly what they offer, though the dealers can mark the rate up.

We had a Toyota dealer tell us that the Toyota.com configurator was wrong and the interior/exterior combo we wanted wasn’t available (it was, we got one elsewhere).

I had a BMW dealer tell me that the BMWFS APR that BMW advertised on CPOs was “a mistake on their site,” but I financed one elsewhere the following week at the advertised rate.

Regardless, if the MF is marked up you just need a bigger dealer discount. You can make an unambiguous offer without specifying the MF.
