Model 3 Lease Details released

Do you think your sensitivity to QC issues is compounded by the collective of people piling on Tesla right now. I ask because I have worked for a startup before and I would consider them a startup in the eyes of the top auto manufactures…working for a startup we had considerably less QC issues then our competition, however our customers patience level was minimal due to our company size and ability to respond in a manner that is expected of the bigger players.

That doesn’t look like something that would happen during shipping so it probably left that way from the factory. It sucks that they choose not to help their customers and deal with returns instead.

Please report back once you get the check. I wonder if they’re refund system is as bad as their repair lead times.

Wanted to report back that I checked with my insurance company, which is state farm. I used our Trax as a guide - The Model 3 - Long range, AWD was $10 more a month than we are paying now. I also checked new: Jeep Grand Cherokee and Wrangler ($5 LESS a month), and a Subaru Outback and Forester were also $10 LESS a month… After all my discounts, I pay $105 a month for the Trax. So I guess it is safe to say it’s slightly more expensive vehicle to insure. Also realized that anything new I buy will cost less to insure than our 2017 Trax, except for the Tesla. Of course the Tesla would save me a boat load in fuel costs, which currently are running us $400 a month.

Alaska… But my rates didn’t change that much from when I lived in South Florida - mainly because up here you have to have uninsured motor vehicle for both your car and liability. Also because I decided to add an umbrella policy in, since my kids are getting ready to drive.

South Florida to Alaska — ouch

This is typical Tesla ownership experience. Promises made then broken, blaming the user, etc…

@michael sorry to bring this back from the dead, but my sister just got her invite to build her Model Y and she has some concerns about the interior size with her 3 kids, which I countered with just take them up on their 7 day/1k mile test drive. How long did it take to unwind your loan with Tesla when you returned your M3?
