Not sure if this has been discussed, but would it be possible/make sense for LH to purchase an MMR data license and return MMR values by taking in a specific set of parameters (VIN, miles, region, etc.)? I see the MMR thread being active, but not a lot of responses to requests recently. Just wondering if there’s a better way to serve the community than having a few users monitor/respond in that thread. We could make it part of the Super Supporter package, or only make it available for a higher tier of Super Supporter (based on donation amount, etc.). This might go against Mannheim’s TOS (again, I’m not sure), but just a thought. @littleviolette @michael
That is part of the challenge. MMR has been discussed several times before, and it boils down to having access to it and their T&C’s. Manheim is pretty protective of their turf, which is why you don’t see any “commercial” enterprise openly providing that data.
It’s been mentioned to me before that even the folks providing the data on request/demand aren’t technically supposed to… but what do I know

Manheim data and services can be accessed only by licensed dealers or employees thereof. Data provided by Manheim is restricted only for use “by Licensee for its own internal business purposes.” It could be argued that sharing this data privately with a potential client could be considered internal business purpose. However. those who may have shared this data have done this more as-a courtesy. There are a few facebook groups (see: WCC) running Manheim threads, maybe visit one of them, if you want to play in the grey area.
