MINI Cooper SE 36/7.5 deal feedback

MINI Cooper SE 36/7.5 broker is offering
3k+7MSD down
269+Tax

Is this reasonable?
Is it true they’re not making these anymore and if I wait there won’t be as much selection?

What’s the MSRP?

Put it on LH calculator so you and other poster can evaluate it easier.

It’s most likely you can get better lease deal on ID4, Ariya, Ioniq5 and probably Mustang.

Partly true, they have a new model. It will come out as 2025 mini in US. You should google it and see if you like it. While it has a longer range, I hate the new exterior and interior. I tried to lease Mini but I can’t get a good lease deal last december. I will most likely pick up a used one if I can get the color & trim I like.

Closest I could figure out…

It doesn’t look bad for a mini.

lol what do you hate exactly? I seems like kind of an evolutionary design change à la Porsche 911.

I prefer the current mini se. The new one exterior - doesn’t look like a mini, looks like a VW instead. Interior - trying to copy tesla minimalistic design, I prefer more buttons. YMMV of course.

I don’t like the looks of the new one either, but that’s a non-issue since it’s not expected to come to the US until 2026 anyway.

And dont expect any great deals for the first year as well. Plus new generations almost always have issues the first year. Heck with the LCI X7 they had a shit load of issues.

wow thats a nice deal

I leased one in December when they were doing $11,990 rebate. Leased a $38.3k msrp car for $320 a month (10k mi) plus tax and $1500 drive off. Which included $650 in tags. Car was an additional ~$3k off for a total of $15k discount, net was ~$23.5k. I would push harder on discount unless they have a specific car you want - there is considerable inventory out there.

It sounds like you got a better deal, but it was mostly driven by the $11900 factory incentive. Any guesses re: what will happen with the $9900 incentive in the coming months?

Yes, but my discount was also higher. I would watch the nationwide inventory to see how it’s going. The $12k discount moved about 1/4 of the US mini se inventory by my estimate.

This, I tried to lease mini se last december. The dealer who has the mini with the trim & color I want, were not interested to discount their car. They’re not willing to match the national offer and give me a much worse leasing offer.
