Military guy that may get deployed next year. Thinking of leasing. Is this smart?

I just found out too:

I’m new to VA. I wasn’t aware the taxes were so high. Do you do deals in VA?I appreciate all of the responses. I feel like I got saved from a big mistake.

So it’s actually not that it’s high from a percentage standpoint (4.15%), but in VA, you pay tax on the selling price of the vehicle itself on a lease, whereas most other state’s you pay them (more logically) on the monthly payment.

We do deals in VA, but I’m not sure if it’s for a brand you’d be considering, if it is, I’d be happy to help. Regardless, still always here to friendly advice infused with some level of comedy.

Thank you! I sincerely appreciate the sentiment.

I know we can break leases early…apartment & auto. Not to sure about other things. This will be a first for me.

Find out about VA property tax. You may be exempt.

Considering where I live, this made me lose my shit. You could rename my city Dodge Charger and no one would notice.

Here’s the rub.

The payment on the charger is biweekly
