What is the MF and residual value for 2016 Mercedes B-Class?
I contacted several dealers and the residual they gave me are quite different:
For dealer 1 but he says he can give me MF of 0.0013 if credit approved:
24 months = 46 % Residual, Money Factor of 0.0019
36 months = 43 % Residual, Money Factor of 0.0019
For dealer 2:
36 months is 43% Residual, and the money factor is .00130
and they both don’t have 30 month lease term available.
For dealer 3:
residual 46% for 36 months and 47% for 30 months money factor .00090
I am confused as residual should be decided by MB program so why the difference in Residual? Can the MF be marked up by the dealer?
Anyway, the residual seem to be too low comparing to BMW i3 which is well over 50% for 36 month lease. Does this mean it is not a good time to lease Mercedes B-Class now?
Residuals vary by mileage. The following is for 10K/year.
24 mo: 49%
30 mo: 47%
36 mo: 46%
Subtract 1% for 12K. Subtract 3% for 15%.
The MF rate is .00090 for all terms. Dealers can mark it up for additional profit. Dealers can also markup the acquisition fee from $795 to $1095.
There’s also $7,500 in lease cash. With huge discounts, a B-Class can be a pretty solid lease. Try obtaining quotes from emailing dealers and by using sites like Edmunds to get a feel for the “market” price of this car.
Best of luck!
Thanks Micheal! Very helpful info. But I found Edmunds has very little info about 2016 B-Class lease so I couldn’t have a good feel for the market price for the car. Most of the discussions are for 2015 model and the price they got is much lower than the quote I get.
Is DESTINATION & DELIVERY $925 a dealer quoted me the same as Acquisition fee?
I am getting two quotes from two dealers but the prices are both very high. When I try to negotiate through the email, they both asked me to go to the dealership. I don’t know how to start with negotiation with them.
Anyway, I am looking for leasing either MB B-Class or BMW i3. Your website is very helpful for me to understand how lease works. Appreciate!
No, the acquisition fee is only paid on a lease. Destination & delivery is charged on every car (cash, finance, and lease).
