Hey, I’m located in NY, I have a 2021 Mercedes Sprinter Passenger van that was leased and the lease is ending really soon and I would like to buy it out. I spoke to Mercedes financial who were the ones that leased it to me and I was given 2 options, either to take it to a Mercedes dealership and get a mandatory inspection and then they would give me finance options, which sounded like would be through different banks, or to reach out to a bank myself and get a loan from them without an inspection, what is the better way to go?
The mandatory inspection is not free usually
Correct it’s not free, but my question is which bank to use, should I find a bank and use them, or should I go to Mercedes and do it with them?
The answer to that depends on the rate you could get from MBFS and the rate you could get from a different bank. What’s the difference?
How about paying it fully now to MBFS before the lease ends, would it be harder to sell later?
Why would it be harder to sell later
