Mercedes Reignite Bonus

Quick question that hopefully someone here will know. With the current Mercedes Reignite loyalty bonus - would I qualify if my lease was bought out by a dealer (automation) in 2021 or would I have to have directly bought out the lease to qualify?

The language from the Reignite Program reads:

To be eligible for the Reignite Bonus, customers must have had a prior MBFS lease or retail installment contract, and exercised their lease purchase option or paid off their retail contract on that vehicle, as applicable, between January 1, 2021 and December 31, 2022.

I would think the Lease Purchase Option is when it got sold to AN
This looks more like if you got a Repo, no bonus for you

Still not clear, but this is what you did through Autonation. But “retail” contract is different from lease payoff, I guess.

Don’t think so. You did not exercise your lease purchase option.

@LuxConcierge messaged me separately and was able to verify based on the VIN that I actually do qualify for this bonus. I assume they were able to check with one of their dealer partners, but thought others should be aware of this.

So basically if you sell a car or trade it in, they count it as ‘Purchased’ ?

Would my 2020 GLA lease that I sold early in 2021 qualify me?
