Mercedes MSD and maintenance

Hello Hackrs,

I’m planning on leasing C300 for the first time, based on the attractive deals I’ve read on this forum. Really enjoyed the test drive as well!

Sorry if these questions have been answered before.

Q1: I’m in NJ, and if I leased from an out out state dealer, is the MSD tied to that dealer? Can I return at an in-state dealer and get my MSD back?
Q2. Did you have any problems taking the car to other dealers for service, even though pre-paid maintenance was from one dealer?

@Thomas the MSDs go to Mercedes Benz Financial, they will be the one who will give it back to you at lease end so it’s not tied to a particular dealership.

My understanding is that 2017 demos are pretty much all gone so you might be a little late to the game. But it doesn’t hurt looking.

You can use the pre-paid maintenance at any dealer

Do you guys know the base buy rate/MF, RV, and incentive differences between the 17 and 18 C300 models? Not much choices left in 2017. Thanks.
