Mercedes GLE 450e lease — how bad is this pricing?

I know it already is, I am sure, because this isn’t my game.

  1. GLE 450e PHEV. MSRP: $83,500. I have 800+ credit rating

36 months, $3000 down: $1408, residual $44,274
39 months, $3000 down: $1325, reisdual $44,274

Annual mileage 10,000

Please help me.

Do you have a deal sheet from the dealer? You’re missing so much information.

At first glance…

How bad does an offered deal have to be where they don’t even use Vaseline?

Haha. I figured.

$7500 ev rebate
Closing fee $499
Tax $500
Non tax fee $2389

Pre-rebate/-incentive discount and MF are also important (unless you planning on buying it out immediately, which, given how poorly GLEs tend to lease, is really the most logical option).

BTW, the GLE450e comes up on LH all the time… the general theme of the responses goes in 3 directions.

  1. Go check out a Volvo XC90 T8 PHEV… big plus if you’re a lawyer with an ABA membership.

  2. Look in the LH Marketplace

  3. Get the $7,500 EV rebate by leasing with the intent to buy your GLE 450e; but realize there could be an early-exit fee in some states

I hate the Volvo because the air conditioner is so loud. I value the quiet cabin of the GLE. Thinking I could have a leasehackr broker find me a 450e for the right price. Is that a bad idea?

I hear ya, the XC90 isn’t for everybody… no matter the price.

I think getting a GLE450e from a LH broker is a way better move than taking the offer shown at the start of this thread.

There are also some BMW X5 PHEV’s that have recently shown up in the LH Marketplace. Worth a look, although IIRC BMW isn’t passing the full $7,500 EV rebate on those compared to MB’s GLE450e. @IAC_Scott may be able to explain more about that.

Yeah…the Vaseline would be a courtesy lol

I appreciate your honesty. I may be stupid enough to show you all the terms, but I am not stupid enough to sign it before I show them to you (or after)

What’s the selling price of the vehicle before rebate(s)? What’s the money factor being used?

Thank you. I appreciate you guiding me in the right spots

$83500. Will be back on money factor

.00312 on 36 and .00315 on 39

So, no dealer discount? What is the breakdown on the non-tax fees? Doc fee, acquisition fee?

This is the right attitude. It’s still shocks me how many people sign a deal like this and then ask.

This is a Type B car.

Thank you. i actually leased through one of the marketplace guys on an EQS. So I feel pretty good. 2 years to try the full EV experience.

My GLE is not really all that quiet on the highway. Whistles a bit around the mirrors. My X5s were much more quiet on the highway.
